Farm & Education Manager
Tacumba is a Pittsburgh native who describes himself as a motivated, educated, and fearless urban horticulturalist. He is most excited to work within our community to utilize Oasis Farm & Fishery’s bio-shelter, and gardens as a medium to cultivate well-being.
Serving as a crew member in his high school’s Student Conservation Association planted a seed that motivated him to continue his green education. He went on to study at Slippery Rock University and Manchester Bid-Well Training Center’s horticulture program. Tacumba plans to use his conceptual framework of sustainability along with his technical skills to make urban agriculture education more accessible and relevant for our community. In his free time, Tacumba explores his passion for visual art and curation.
